Born and raised in San Diego...Dude!  Seriously, I have a Bachelors Degree from SDSU in Environmental Geography, Ecology and American Indian Studies minor; Masters in Environmental Geography, Cultural Ecology emphasis.  I have been a researcher and consultant in Cultural Ecology (field biology, archaeology, EIR/EIS documentations and Planning) for15 years, and have served as adjunct faculty at Cuyamaca College Department of Geography for 6 years and San Diego City College Department of Geography and Geology for 5 years.  I teach online and blended studies for Physical Geography, Physical Geography Lab, World Regional Geography, and Cultural Geography.  I have received grants for research from Title III and Homeland Security, and am currently writing a grant for NSF/CCLI curriculum development. I am the Phi Theta Kappa advisor at Cuyamaca College and an Honors Faculty at San Diego City College.   I have served on the Emergency Preparedness Committee and the Environmental Sustainability Committee at Cuyamaca College, as well as the Science Building Committee and the Academic Senate representative for Physical Sciences at San Diego City College.

As a secondary bit, I have written or collaborated on 170 songs appearing on various recordings, and another 300+ that  have been commissioned and performed publically.  I am a member of ASCAP, and my publications are handled by CCLI (for international performance copyrights.)
